Exciting improvements are planned for

Maxwell Farms Regional Park and we need your support!

Sonoma County Regional Parks has updated the master plan for Maxwell Farms Regional Park, a community park in the Springs area of Sonoma Valley, adjacent to the City of Sonoma.

Maxwell Farms is a well-used and loved regional park, with approximately 163,000 visitors in the most recent annual count. Regional Parks developed the new master plan with extensive input from the community. Park planners balanced ideas for new features and infrastructure improvements with conservation objectives to chart an exciting and sustainable vision for the 85-acre park.

When complete, the enhanced Maxwell Farms Park will include two baseball diamonds, multiple soccer fields, an off-leash dog park, tennis and pickleball courts, sand volleyball courts, a children’s play area, enhanced skate park, bicycle pump track, photovoltaic array and nature trails.

The cost to implement the Maxwell Farms master plan will be approximately $13 million. Major funding will come from public sources (including the Measure M sales tax), state and federal grants. But completing this exciting project for the residents of Sonoma Valley also depends on individual donations to the Parks Foundation, through Team Maxwell, a coalition of local community athletic groups including Sonoma Valley United Soccer.
